On September 5 of this year, a church was consecrated in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord near the Ermolovskaya platform on the Primorskaya Railway. The Sestroretsk dacha settlement, which appeared a few years ago not far from the village of Sestroretsk, St. Petersburg district, is located on the northern coast of the Gulf of Finland, in a dry, sandy area covered with a wonderful pine forest, and is one of the healthiest and most picturesque neighborhoods of St. Petersburg. From the very beginning of its existence, this village attracted a great number of Petersburgers looking to restore their health and stretched along the Seaside railroad from Sestroretsk to the Dyuny station on the Finnish border. <...> The new temple is wooden, beautifully placed on a foundation of Finnish granite amidst a pine forest, on a sandy site near the railroad bed.
